ABOUT US

JMC Genetics is an independent dairy and beef genetics company, launched in 2026 as a strategic expansion of Tithebarn - one of the UK’s longest-established livestock nutrition businesses, founded in 1935.

The creation of JMC Genetics reflects a commitment to providing dairy producers with greater choice, transparency and access to genetics selected for commercial performance.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

The artificial insemination sector has undergone significant consolidation in recent years. JMC Genetics has been established to offer an alternative approach - one that prioritises impartial advice, flexibility and performance-backed genetic selection. We are not tied to a single breeding organisation. This allows us to build breeding programmes based on herd objectives, production systems and long-term performance goals.

The new division aims to give dairy farmers greater choice of genetics and access to performance - backed genetics to suit a wide range of systems.

The banner features a smiling cow illustration, the JMC Genetics logo, and text about dairy genetic programs. The men are smiling and wearing name tags, with one in a red vest and the other in a light blue shirt.

JMC Genetics will offer a broad portfolio of dairy and beef-on-dairy options. This includes Holstein and Jersey genetics from Westlock Genetics (USA), Norwegian Red from Geno, Fleckvieh from GGI, and Montbéliarde from Coopex.

The focus is on fertility, longevity, functional efficiency and lifetime production to support commercial dairies in breeding profitable, functional dairy cows.
